About Broadwater Hot Springs and Fitness

Broadwater Hot Springs and Fitness sits on the site of the Broadwater Hotel and Natatorium, which opened on Aug. 26, 1889 with what was then the world's largest indoor pool. The 1935 earthquake condemned the natatorium and the hotel closed in 1941. The Broadwater Athletic Club and Hot Springs opened on the property on Oct. 17, 1979, and after a 2015 ownership change it was renovated and renamed Broadwater Hot Springs. Today it has soaking pools, a recreation pool, a cold plunge, sauna and steam room, a fitness center, and The Springs Taproom and Grill with an outdoor stage.

The property is at 4920 W. U.S. Highway 12, about ten minutes west of downtown Helena, with a large free lot. Hot springs and fitness hours are 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, and 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Day passes are $17 adult, $15 kids 5 to 13, $8 kids 0 to 4, and $15 seniors 65 and over on Monday through Thursday; $22, $20, $12, and $17 on Friday through Sunday and holidays. Admissions are non-refundable and a 3 percent processing fee applies from April 1, 2026.
