About Headwaters Craft House
Headwaters Craft House opened in April 2021 at 2125 N. Last Chance Gulch, north of downtown near the Centennial Park end of the street. It calls itself Helena's original crafthouse: a family-owned bar with 40 taps of craft beer, wine, cider, seltzer, and non-alcoholic drinks, plus a bottle shop, and gluten-free beers on tap. There is no kitchen, so outside food and delivery are welcome, and food trucks park outside for events. The room is used for tap takeovers by visiting breweries, wine tastings, fundraisers for local nonprofits, and two recurring weekly events.
The bar sits on the west side of N. Last Chance Gulch with its own parking lot, unlike the walking mall taprooms downtown. Posted hours are noon to 8 p.m. Monday, noon to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 1 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, noon to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Monday Game Night runs 5:30 to 9 p.m. and is free. Sunday live music runs 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on scheduled dates. Visit Helena tags the Sunday shows as family friendly; the bar does not post a formal age policy, so call 406-442-0155 with questions.
