About ExplorationWorks
ExplorationWorks is Helena's science center, located in the Great Northern Town Center next to Carroll College. It has two floors of hands-on exhibits aimed mainly at children and families, including a water table modeled on local Helena landmarks, a light-based creative canvas, a live indoor beehive, and a dedicated play area for children under five. The center also brings in rotating traveling exhibits and runs a preschool program, after-school classes, and summer camps.
The center is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Monday. General admission is $12 per person for ages 2 and up; children under 2 and museum members are free. Museums for All (EBT/WIC cardholders) pay $5 per person, and pre-booked groups of 10 or more pay $6 per person. It sits in a paved commercial district with on-site parking.
