About Ten Mile Creek Brewery
Ten Mile Creek Brewery opened in October 2015 as Helena's third brewery, founded by three 24-year-old locals, Jordan Keltz, Ethan Kohoutek, and Riley Tubbs. It occupies part of the former Fligelman's Department Store in the New York Block on the Last Chance Gulch walking mall, between The Hawthorn Bottle Shop and The Parrot candy store. The seven-barrel brewhouse uses Montana-grown barley, the bar and tables were built from beetle-killed pine cut near Helena, and local artists hang work on the walls. The taproom hosts a weekly beer choir, Sunday yoga, a farm CSA pickup, and local musicians.
The brewery is at 48 N. Last Chance Gulch, Helena, MT 59601, on the pedestrian mall, so park in metered spaces on Park Avenue or the cross streets or in the nearby city lots and walk in. It is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, the standard closing time for on-site pours at a Montana brewery. Beer Choir meets Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday Yoga with Loft Studios runs 10 to 11 a.m. and costs $15 including a beer. Food trucks set up on the mall for some events, and the brewery has no kitchen of its own.
