About Carroll College Homecoming and Fighting Saints Football

Carroll College, a Catholic liberal-arts college in Helena, holds Homecoming on a football weekend in late September or early October each year, built around a home game at Nelson Stadium. The 2026 Homecoming game is Oct. 3 against Arizona Christian, part of a program that in 2026 marked its 112th year of football. Homecoming week adds other events beyond the game itself: additional Carroll sports teams play home matches the same weekend, there is a march on the Downtown Helena Walking Mall, and the college inducts new members into its Athletics Hall of Fame.

Nelson Stadium sits on Carroll's campus at 1830 Bishop Carroll Dr., recently renovated with artificial turf and stadium lighting -- three of the five home games in 2026 are played under the lights for the first time in program history. Single-game football tickets run $55 through Carroll College Athletics; season tickets go on renewal in June with single-game tickets released each August. Homecoming draws students, alumni and Helena locals, with tailgating around the stadium before kickoff.
