About Helena Farmers' Market

The Helena Farmers' Market runs every Saturday from late April through October on Fuller Avenue, between Neil and Lawrence streets next to Women's Park. It is run by a volunteer board of directors and is described by organizers as the longest-running farmers market in Montana, marking its 53rd season in 2026. More than 350 Montana farmers, ranchers, crafters and food vendors rotate through roughly 150 vendor spots available each week over the course of a season.

The Saturday market runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A second, smaller market runs Tuesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. in summer at Main Street Park in East Helena. The 2026 season's Grand Opening celebration was May 30, with a ribbon-cutting at the intersection of Placer and Fuller hosted by the Helena Chamber of Commerce. The market accepts cash, credit, debit and SNAP/EBT, and doubles SNAP benefits with help from a monthly St. Peter's Health nutrition booth. Vendors are asked to park away from Fuller Avenue so spaces near the market stay open for customers.

What happens

  • More than 350 Montana vendors rotate through the market over a season
  • SNAP/EBT accepted and matched through a benefit-doubling program
  • Grand Opening celebration each spring with a Helena Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting
  • Second, smaller Tuesday market at Main Street Park in East Helena during summer

Tips

  • Arrive before 10 a.m. for the best selection of produce and baked goods; popular vendors sell out by midday.
  • Street parking near Fuller Avenue fills fast on Saturday mornings; the market asks its own vendors to park farther away to leave spaces for shoppers.
  • SNAP/EBT shoppers can double their benefits at the market's token booth.
